Wed. night

Well we are 1/2 through another week, and you ask what have you gotten done.
        Not very much here that is for sure.  Hubby is doing pretty good getting off cigarettes  (cold turkey),  kids and I are staying out of the way.
       Dogs are staying outside and being quiet when he walks down the block or in the alley (I think they know he would be upset if they made a sound).
        Cat is hiding in my room most of the time now, of course he always hides so it is not unusual.

We saw Grandpa and had milkshakes with him tonight. It was good to see him, and I think he enjoyed the stop too.  We joked that his truck (18 wheeler) could be haunted because he hears strange noises, radio comes on and off by itself.   We got a big laugh out of this on.

Hospital

Today hubby gets to come home from the hospital.

I want to thank everyone for the prayers.  I think that is the only thing that has kept me going.
It was NOT another heart attack so all is good.

Long Weekend

Prayers needed again

Hubby last night was having chest pains.  After 2 heart attacks I have learned to trust his feeling on this.  He says that he is sore and not hurting, but still it is scary.

Most of our to do list yesterday (didn't get done), and Son is mad because he is missing church today.  I need to stay close to hubby though.

Sat. to do list

    I am going to reclaim my bedroom
            With kids outgrowing clothes,  pets, I have lost my haven of a bedroom
             I am going to reorganize, throw away and donate to good will
   Yard work is to be done.  With 3 dogs and 1 that seems to find chew toys everywhere (even if they were not meant to be her toys) my yard needs help.  who knew water guns tasted good ? Not me.

   I am going to try my luck at canning cherries. My MIL brought over a bag of them and so I need to get something done with them to save them.

After all this I plan on relaxing in the living room with everyone and having our
              Family Movie Night

computers

This morning when my son got up he found out that his computer had turned off last night on him.

                         He lost all of his biology that he had done, because he didn't save it.

better school day

Well you would think that today would be better than yesterday, since local schools have now started, and you would be correct on most of it.

Son is trying to get study guild done for biology and it is taking him a long time to get it done.
Daughter tried to hurry through school work and got upset with me when I made her redo what she messed up on.  (oh well)

I can't wait till the science experiments start.  Daughter is suppose to make a solar system out of balloons later this week (maybe weekend).   yeah
I will post pictures when she gets them done.

School

Daughter got all her school done today, of course she was in a hurry since local schools start tomorrow and she has already had friends come over to play.

Son is getting done with his school, but not as enthusiastic as his sister.

Tues.

Got Abbey to the Vet today.

     She about lost it leaving the yard (see she is not suppose to leave the fence) so she did not understand when I was taking her out.  It was a really cute picture I am sure me carrying her to the truck to get in. 

We got her to the vet and she weighed in at 31 lbs (not good considering how skinny she is, but good considering how much she eats and how much she runs)  The life of a border collie, food is available 24/7 and she runs almost 24/7.  Oh well getting her fixed maybe she will gain some weight.

Sunday activities

Well after church today the fun continued.
        We went to the Renaissance Festival for 2012.

For all the adventures that she performs keeping the Realm safe she was Knighted by the King in a small ceremony today.

My son didn't want his picture taken so that is why he is not in any of these pictures.

Trip

Well my oldest got his ticket today to go with Grandma on a trip to Florida.  I think he is getting excited about it all.  Only part he is not looking forward too are the questions about how long school last, what he is doing for it, and when are the test?

Oh well he is going to have fun and can put up with the questions for a few weeks.

Something new

Well today I am trying something new,  we are going to do a live CurrClick class around noon today.
                IEW (today it is free)
I am thinking about adding this for my oldest to improve his writing.

Last Night

Well last night was the last night of fencing for the summer.
It was good and bad.
              Daughter is going to try another sport for the fall, and Son is going to stick with fencing.

Sun afternoon

As soon as I got home from church today I turned the oven on (cooking a roast)

Found daughters history pac (since it was lost in the living room so she couldn't do history last week)

Got her schedule all done for Mon-Wed.  we are going to see how that goes so we don't jump ahead of 

      ourselves

Since I am usually a very laid back person about most things, I seem to take that over into my teaching too.

   This leads to problems only on trying to schedule what we are going to do more than a day or two ahead.

tomorrow is Dr. appointment and last night of fencing until Sept. so that should keep us busy most of the day.

I have tried to help my son with his school stuff, but he is more independent and doesn't really want my help.  

   I do believe that one reason he has been dragging his feet on getting stuff done is the local schools don't start until the 20th here and he thinks I am unfair.

Ask for help

Request for Prayers

I don't usually ask for prayers very often (or at least I try not too anyway), but this week has been especially hard.

I am upset over things that I don't think should bother me as much as it is.  Sometimes that is worse I think letting something go when it is so close to home.

Daughter science book

yeah it finally made it to us yesterday.  For some reason it went from Ill. to Texas and then up to Wyo. but we finally got it.

Now we can do Apologia's Explore Creation with Astronomy, and she can't wait.

Well my son tried to pull the I fell asleep before I could get anything done

              yeah like I fell for that one.  I did cave though (bad mom) and told him that he could read a different book for historical literature.  I am going to let him read C.S. Lewis (which I don't have for him yet)

My daughter has misplaced her glasses so now she can't read.  Kinda convenient  but I will give her a day or two to find them.  (I know bad mom not following through too well).

First Day of School Year

Well this year is off to a rough start.

    Son wants to do his schooling at night. (not so sure it is a good idea)

    Daughter doesn't want to do the questions on the workbooks.

I think it could be a long week as we get back into the grove.

Oh yeah and don't forget the groundings that will on if school is not done.

        Daughter can not go and play outside if work is not done.

         Son looses his phone so no talking to girlfriend if he doesn't get his work done.  I know I am a mean Mom, but hey we got to do something to make the point.  Right??

Sun. afternoon

Sorry it has been a while since I have been on here.

This past week, I have been getting the kids ready to start school (tomorrow)

                         I have been going to family meetings about my nephew (he needs prayers)

                        This past weekend has been the town celebration so you could not get anywhere very fast

    So that was my week in a nutshell

hope yours was good too, hopefully just as busy or more so since it makes the time fly by.

have a great upcoming week too with me as I start the dreaded High School with my son.
