Busy, Busy Day

So far today I have

•  gone to Walmart (ugh I hate going sometimes)
• got home and canned 15 jars of dilly beans
• now to get started on mango jelly (has anyone tried it I don't think I have)

I can't wait for school to start back up as I took a break for canning.  Oh well I had to get the rest of the school stuff together anyway

Things to do today

• clean up all the canning supplies and get together
• can apples
• make pickles
• if still time in day go to Mom's and get more apples and cucumbers and squash

Is it wrong?

     Is it wrong to tell the kids that school is starting, and then have to postpone due to canning and yard work?
     Well I hope that it is not wrong since that is what I am doing.  It seems that the apples at Mom's house is getting ready before I am ready for them.  I guess tomorrow I will be canning, freezing and so forth.  Well at least I can count this as home ec. right.   Later this week I have more stuff coming to can --green beans, tomatoes, peaches and yes lots more apples.

Praying for guildance

       As I sit in my favorite chair I am reminded of all the times that we need help with things and for some reason decide to go it alone.  It is the wrong way to do it, but for some reason we decide that no one will help us as we go about our lives.

       I am here to say don't do that, when we need God's help he is right behind us waiting to catch us when we fall.  This is something we seem to have to learn over and over again (if you are anything like me that is) and I am glad that God is willing to teach this lesson as often as needed.

     

New School Year

Well I have really missed my blog and have decided that maybe I need this, at least for me and hopefully I can help someone else on the homeschool journey too.  I do know that the people I follow help me out a lot.

Well I have started the school year and so far we are off to a rough start, see I am missing books so I have improvised and we are making do with what we have.

I am following a CM approach this year for lots of different reason, one of which is expense. 
So hopefully you will come with me on my journey as I figure out what I am doing on this adventure.
